I run Next Flight Magazine. I’m not a trained journalist and I don’t have a media background — I’m someone who reads a lot, particularly about people’s lives and careers, and got frustrated with how sloppy a lot of biography content online tends to be.

What Frustrated Me Enough to Start This

The specific thing that pushed me to start this site: searching for basic facts about a public figure and getting five different answers across the first page of results, none of them sourced. A birth year here, a slightly different career timeline there, a “reportedly” claim stated as flat fact somewhere else. I wanted a place where the sourcing was actually visible, even if that meant publishing more slowly.

Why I’m Being Upfront About Being New

A lot of “About the Author” pages claim years of expertise or credentials that can’t really be checked by a reader. I’d rather be straightforward: this is a new project, I’m learning as I go, and I’m not a subject-matter expert on any particular field. I don’t have insider access to anyone covered on this site — everything here comes from public research. Whatever credibility this site earns is going to come from the work itself: accurate articles, visible sourcing, and honest corrections — not from a bio written to sound more impressive than it is.

If that changes over time — formal experience, published work elsewhere, other people joining the project — this page will be updated to reflect it honestly.
